The weather stayed dry and everyone had a great time.
In the evening we moved into the club house for a night of Elvis tunes to keep the dance floor busy including the Viva Las Vegas conga !
We had a lot of people asking if we can do it again next year so keep tuned.

Beer & Buses October 15th 2016
What a great day we had.
We met up at Newport Quay at midday and headed on to The Chequers.
Getting on the next bus was a little tricky as not many people were getting off so we had to wait for a relief bus and then headed for Ventnor and had to miss the White Horse at Whitwell.
We visited the Volunteer and Winter Gardens after which we went onto Shanklin.
The Village inn was our port of call in Shanklin and then onto The Chine Inn where some welcome food was had and the final round of drinks.
We didn’t visit as many pubs as we would have liked but had a great day and everyone had fun which was what it was all about.
Thanks to all the organisers and bus owners who gave their time in making this a great weekend.
Matchbox – September 17th 2016

Rock & Roll alldayer – Aug 20th 2016
What a fantastic day we had !
Thanks to all those that supported the first alldayer.
Despite the dodgy weather forecast we had a great crowd in and it was very encouraging to hear positive feedback. It wouldn’t have been a success without you.
Comments such as “It was brilliant” and “the atmosphere was fantastic” made us feel as though we were on the right track.
Due to ill health Some Like it Hot were unable to make it and we wish Andy Williams a speedy recovery and hope to see the band on the Island in the future.
Our thanks go out to all the DJ’s – Wild Wolfie, Vinyl Woll, Dr Jive & Marcus who came all the way from the USA, for keeping the dance floor full with some great tunes.
Special thanks for the Valley Boys for taking care of the sound and instruments at such short notice – it was very much appreciated & to Graham Fenton who managed to get his band from the Garlic festival to back him.
In fact “Thanks” to everyone for making the day what it was – just fantastic !
The first band on were “The Outsiders” and anyone who goes to these kind of events knows that it is probably the hardest thing to do to be first on stage but they did it with great enthusiasm and they really set the mood for the other bands to follow – thank you guys.
Joe, your hip swivelling made all the women go weak !!
Next on were “The Lonesome Valley Boys” who as always put in a great set – thanks guys !
Graham Fenton hot footed over from the Garlic festival bringing his band with him. What a legend and amazing to hear all the artists that he’s worked with over the years – great stuff !
The Mee Kats came all the way from the North East via Wales and we have to thank them for coming such a long way to play at our alldayer – an epic journey ! – fantastic set guys (and gal !)
We can say on behalf of everyone who supported the event that the bands went down a storm and we’ll have you back in the near future.
Plans are underway for our alldayer next year and hope to bring you some exciting news soon – watch this space !!
What a great night !
After almost not happening due to Darrel breaking down at the Red Funnel we had a great crowd who travelled from as far as Manchester, Plymouth, Basingstoke, Bedfordshire & Hertfordshire.
The atmosphere was buzzing and thanks to all those that travelled from abroad (the mainland !).
The Lonesome Valley Boys played a great set and a big “Thanks” to them for allowing Darrel, Adam & Les to use their equipment.
Thanks also to Bill Guntrip for calming the situation and guest DJing and Mr Rockabilly Rebel Graham Fenton.
